I developed the Whiteboard Sessions as a way to talk about strategy in the church. The Gospel takes all, but even the Apostle Paul was strategic about the work of ministry. Whiteboard has a simple formula...
One Day.
8 Influential Leaders.
30 Minutes Each.
The First Event
The first Whiteboard Sessions was held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Virginia. Over 850 church leaders attended. The speakers included:
Mark Batterson - pastor of National Community Church
Tim Stevens - executive pastor at Granger Community Church
Mark Dever - pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in DC
Darrin Patrick - pastor of Journey Church in St. Louis
Perry Noble - pastor of NewSpring Church in Anderson, SC
Vince Antonucci - pastor of Verve in Las Vegas, NV
Ed Stetzer - director of research for Lifeway in Nashville, TN
John Burke - pastor of Gateway Church in Austin, TX
The Next Event
We're doing it again on Friday, May 21, 2010 here in Virginia Beach at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.
At most events, speakers show up with a well-crafted, prepared talk. But we're asking speakers to treat Whiteboard like an extended “senior-level staff meeting” where they wrestle with a new idea. It may be untested; it may be a new biblical insight; or it may be a proven strategy that they’re just now ready to share.
We're offering a special rate of $69 per person until the site is launched in late January.
