"When you launch a dream, the size of it should take your breath away. You should have wind in your hair, stomach acid in your teeth and pee in your underwear."

Finally. A concrete sniff-test for a bonafide DREAM.

Thank you.

Excellent. Love the hair, acid, pee quote.

Ben - Great piece. Insecurity is definately the crictic saying, "launching this project is risky enough. Don't leave yourself out there too much. How will you ever recover from such embarassment if this goes wrong?"

One of my new favorite quotes:

"When you launch a dream, the size of it should take your breath away. You should have wind in your hair, stomach acid in your teeth and pee in your underwear."

"You should have wind in your hair, stomach acid in your teeth and pee in your underwear."

Hoping that this means I'm on to something. This month has been one extended panic attack.

BE STRONG Alex! You have no idea how capable you are until you're pushed to the limits. All must be okay because you're not dead yet =)

Wow! Great post, Ben. Thank you for challenging and inspiring us to dream big and take risks. I know for me, insecurity is a HUGE limiting factor to stepping out and taking chances.

Great post man. Perfect timing.

I was thinking about this very thing this week regarding Seth Godin and his massive Kickstarter campaign that everyone was in awe of. It's ironic. Everyone wants to be LIKE Seth but they end up just emulating what Seth does instead of taking that daring leap to be the innovator instead. Guess most assume it's safer to step where someone else has stepped ahead of them instead of taking that dangerous risk of being the one to blaze the trail.

I retweeted your quote last week: "When you launch a dream, the size of it should take your breath away. You should have wind in your hair, stomach acid in your teeth and pee in your underwear."

Then this weekend I was given a choice between a story and a bigger story. Because I retweeted this quote I felt compelled to "put my money where my mouth is". So this week I'm starting towards the bigger, riskier, out-of-my-comfort-zone story.

Thanks for the inspiration & the extra push towards the edge!

Jen I'm so glad for you... Always hoping these posts resonate with someone. Anyone. =)
