Wow! I've never heard anyone else voice this sort of feeling, but I can completely relate to what you're saying. I get that same sort of initial, "Eh...I don't really like this..." sort of reaction. But, an hour (or a day) later, I'm enthralled with the idea (if it actually has merit) and read to get it started.

Good to know I'm not alone. :)

This is insane. It describes me quite well. I've never really looked at it like this though. I usually end up apologizing and make excuses for why I didn't like the idea, then I beat myself up for being a grinch.

I'm like that in the markets (curio, food, whatever) here in Kenya or anywhere else in Africa. I constantly think, "If you would just give me a few minutes to look and think without asking me a ton of questions about what I want, I am much more likely to buy from you." Good post.
