I sat in the auditorium of the largest youth ministry in the country and listented to that reasoning - Jesus is what we want to give them, but this 7 million dollar facility with video games, indoor basketball court, and breakdancing floor is "bait".

At the time, I bought it "hook, line, and sinker" (pun intended). Looking back now, it makes me sad.

As always, great thoughts here Ben.

Good stuff to ponder, Ben. I appreciate the idea of challenging "the way" we do ministry by stripping all of ministry down so we can get to the core -- love God and love others.

The challenge is doing it Jesus style -- laying down our lives for one another (1 Jn 3:16).
