i agree, ben. the statement about the gospel not being powerful enought to spread on it's own - eeek. gladwell has some good sociological thought, but we need to be careful. good post.

Gladwell is probably not a Christian, so he may be speaking freely about his own uninspired perspective. While we Christians all would like to say and affirm the power of the Gospel, we rarely see a megachurch that has a mediocre communicator in the pulpit or a thriving church that can just hold up the power of the Gospel and do nothing else to spread its message.

I just don't equate evangelism with megachurch attendance.
