STORY is a first-of-its-kind experience for communicators in ministry. I attended Willow Creek's conference Communicating in Today's Reality back in 2004 and was blown away by the experience. They stopped doing it and left a huge hole in the ministry world. STORY is an event for communicators, but highly experiential.
The First Event
STORY will be held at the beautiful Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL on October 28, 2009. A follow-up day of Workshops happens at The Orchard Church on October 29. The main event speakers include:
Ed Young - pastor of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX
Dave Gibbons - leader of the NewSong Global Alliance
Chris Seay - pastor of Ecclesia in Houston, TX
Nancy Beach - vice president of the arts for Willow Creek
John Ortberg - pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church
Stacy Spencer - pastor of New Direction Church in Memphis
Mike Foster - author of Deadly Viper Character Assassins
Donald Miller - best-selling author of Blue Like Jazz

Ben, have been writing songs for 20 or so years and have been telling people "well, it's kind of christian angst music" - not knowing any other way to describe it. Your article is exactly what I've been thinking, I'm not hearing music which helps people through the day to day struggles of Christianity. Would like to send you a CD Demo of stuff I've written.
