There's a revolution that will take place in the world of local filmmaking. Right now, it's the cinematographers and editors who are creating projects. But they aren't necessarily the best storytellers. They simply know how to use the tools.
I recently watched a short film that was beautifully captured. But there was no inciting incident, no interesting plot, no tension. It was just beautiful cinematography labeled as a film.
At STORY, we're featuring a "Four Minute Film Fest" that will run through the event. Two teams will be selected based on storyline. We'll provide the shooters and the editors. The contestants only need a great story. I'm pretty sure this is how it should work in the church context as well.

Absolutely.
I am living a boring story. It wouldn't be obvious from afar because I talk the talk, look the part, and have all the stuff that makes me look busy and relevant. But once you look at my life you see there is not story line, no inciting incident and no interesting plot.
Time to stop worrying about what my story looks like start living a story.
