I read a great book by Gary Habermas recently that talked about the misconception of unanswered prayer. We are psychologically more prone to remember the the prayers that don't get answered, even if they are few and far between.
If I hadn't already taken his word for it, I came across a prayer journal this week that I stopped using one year ago. Most of the requests involved STORY 09 because that was my "jump off a cliff" year. And sure enough... 80% of those anxiety-ridden requests were answered, resolved, no trouble at all.
Looking at that piece of evidence taught me two important things -- 1. Keep praying! And 2. Pray specifically.

I once looked at a list of people I prayed for in High school and was astonished at the number of prayers answered.
You're lessons-learned remind me of Jesus' teaching on prayer.

Good stuff, Ben. I'm glad you are being stretched in the prayer & faith area too. I've learned two things also in the last year: 1) I pray too small (wonder if that is in correlation to the size of my faith? hmm...) and 2) I don't pray enough about specifics.
