There is no such thing as "best idea wins."
There is only "best idea plus most influence wins."
Great ideas have enemies.
Enemies like naysayers, laggers, tradition, chain-of-command, poor taste, money, critical mass...
For a great idea to succeed, it must have a platform.
Innovators have to be multitude makers.


So true. The beauty now days though is that influence is much easier and faster to create than it was only a few years ago (Tribes). The money factor used to be much more of an inhibitor than it is today. Today, creativity, strategy and execution can change the game but it takes a lot of work... work many try to avoid, thinking the idea alone is enough to win.
