Read in The Dip that marathon runners have to create a list of conditions that must occur before they'll quit... Otherwise, they'll stop at every bad sign It's a mental game.
Heat stroke... check.
Exhaustion... nope.
As I've been trying to move into my sweet spot, I've created a list of conditions that must be in place for me to thrive... or I move to miserable pretty quickly.
I can't "nest" in an office.
I need to have authority, not just responsibility.
I need a culture of experimentation.
I need audacity over safety.
Curious about your ideal work environment. What "conditions" need to be in place for you to thrive?

No Time Clock. The ability to put results above the traditional 8+/- hour work day. Some days I work 14 hours. Some days I work 3. It's the results that matter.
Relentless Optimism. I truly think many of our limitations are self imposed and able to be overcome with creativity, persistence, ingenuity and faith.

Can i steal yours Ben? That was good.
Off the top of my head, I would ideally require:
Space- To dream, think, experiment.
Noise- to drown out distractions.
Friends- to collaborate with & help execute.
Beverages- to refuel me.
Permission- to go where I want to go.

Dang...I've read this post 5 times this week.
I need space and time with no interruptions- noise is okay, just no phones or emails or obligations.
I need advisors that can help me make dreams turn into realities.
I need year-round air conditioning.
