Years ago, I attended Catalyst for the first time and was smitten. When I stepped out of the rental car and made my way to Gwinnett Arena, a Catalyst greeter asked for my name. She must have radioed ahead because when I entered the registration area, dozens of screaming "fans" were calling out my name, asking for autographs, taking photos. Talk about an experience.
I'm not just a Catalyst staffer. I'm also a client. =)
Here are some of the areas we're starting to explore for future.
- Overseas.
- New audiences that have never even heard of Catalyst.
- Higher levels of experience. This is, after all, what most distinguishes us.
- A new kind of creativity. Not just flavor changes. But a whole new dessert.
- Experimental gatherings. Smaller crowds. More interactive.
- Stronger relationships with our community. We're not just an event anymore.
- Better partnerships. With creatives. With sponsors. With other organizations.

What if you got some of these leaders to do potluck dinners in homes with about 20-40 leaders........
(obviously done with excellence in a way potluck dinners are not usually done)....
Can you imagine if Seth Godin was sitting on the fireplace hearth of someone's living room teaching leading a lively brainstorming discussion?
sometimes I wonder if we got twenty of the right leaders in the same living room...if it would be more effective than anything we've seen.....
Like a Derek Webb house tour for innovators.....

Heck Yes Evan Blackerby! I totally agree! Seth may be going too far, but I sense that we need small gatherings, (masterminds?), brain storming, networking, kingdom entrepreneurs, thinkers, strategists, gathering and plotting the future, synergy.
This doesn't happen as much at a super large event, it requires connecting leaders, discussing issues. Much needed and I think the demand for this is high right now as well.

I'm really excited that our leadership here at the Luis Palau Association has gotten connected with Catalyst (after many hints dropped). Hoping to be there in person this Spring!

Overseas? actually thats a good idea...what about latinamerica?
You cant imagine how awesome could be...think hundreds of pastors from little towns, villages, cities that could be blessed...
and btw, one thing is centralamerica and other thing is southamerica.
choose one city, and the rest of countries next to it they should come for sure!!!!!!!!!
(Lima is an option. We hosted an APEC forum, with Presidents of Asia-PAcific zone, and Peru is in the middle of the continent.)
