So Ainsley and I got a babysitter on Saturday night to go out on a date for the first time in ages. Ains has wanted to see the movie Twilight since reading the books. So we set-up the boys, rushed off to the theater, and settled in for the vampire romance with our popcorn and candy... when the phone vibrated. Dylan had taken a spill into the coffee table and scared the babysitter with his bleeding, which resulted in her DIALING 911. We rush home to find Gwinnett County's finest in our kitchen... a few scratches on Dylan... and ourselves out $75. (fume)

Pretty elaborate scheme just to get out of seeing a chick-flick ;-)
Seriously, glad to hear Dylan's ok. And the $75 isn't completely wasted -- it's just a down payment on finding a less trigger happy babysitter...

I slipped Dylan an extra cookie before bedtime as my little way of saying thanks for taking one for the team

If only he had an Edward Cullen standing nearby to sweep him up before the spill... I'm glad he is okay Ben. I saw the movie on the same night you and Ains did. It was good (not to rub it in) but I'm sorry you didn't get to see it because Kim Daniels told me how much Ains loves the books.

Isn't Edward a vampire? Wouldn't he want there to be blood?
Just sayin' :)
Sending my bride to see it this weekend with her sister, so I guess I can avoid the theatrics this time around...

same EXACT thing happened to us about a year ago with our son... slipped and fell at the pool with babysitters - one phone call ended our movie during the intro. Spent the rest of the evening in the ER getting stitched up. I feel ur pain.
