My super 8 film is currently in process at Alpha Cine in Seattle - looking forward to seeing what our vacation footage will look like. Meanwhile, I got a sneak peek at Hillsong United's I Heart Revolution DVD, which is unbelievable. Not just the songs, but the footage. Looks like it was shot in a gritty 35mm all over the world. Gave me an idea... thinking of sending super 8 cams out to friends across the US to film their ministry environments. Would make an awesome video collage.

Ben, I always thought it would be neat to have a video collage of worship settings throughout the world to show us Americans the cultural differences in worshipping God!

I agree, everything looks better on film, but there are several plug-ins for After Effects and Final Cut Pro that allow you to give video footage a trashed 8mm look... It takes a little massaging, but you can pretty much get it to where you can't tell a difference. That said, I probably just ruined the 'cool' factor of sending out old 8mm cameras.
