John Maxwell is famous for his 16th irrefutable law of leadership called the Law of the Big Mo. This law states that leaders create forward motion in an organization by achieving and nurturing small victories.
I love how John makes momentum sound so fun and personalized by calling it “Mo.” I’ve heard him do this with Jesus’ disciples: Pete, Jim and John. =) And it’s true. When you've got it, Mo is indeed your friend. It brings you victories and successes with very little effort.
But something John didn’t tell us is that until you enter an exclusive little club called critical mass, Mo wants nothing to do with you. It pushes back against you... rejects you... eludes you... doesn’t want you to achieve it.
I'm going to write a few posts about momentum as I process it. I have a theory that you can't create it, but that you can only spot it, join it... and nurture it.

looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on this. MOmentum is a fascinating concept to me too.
I'm curious your take but I think you CAN create it but it has to be movement driven. MOmentum takes MOvement to build force.
Jesus created MOmentum with his MOvement.
Not to compare Jesus to Obama but Obama has created MOmentum by creating a MOvement. They've cleverly engaged people into believing in something and getting involved in it that is bigger than themselves... that is CHANGE. CHANGE has mobilized them to move and create momentum (positive or negative depending on the side of the isle one subscribes to).
