I gave up on Ebay this weekend. Too many hardcore hagglers. I just can't compete with the guy who lives in mother's basement watching Star Trek reruns and monitoring auction countdowns all night. Anyway, I did come away with a great deal on a vintage 8mm motion picture camera to get me started in my newfound hobby. Give me a month and I'll have something up on the blog. Maybe it's just me, but I'd much rather watch movies shot on film than even digital HD... let alone create them. I've got a cast of at least 3 waiting at home. =)

Hey Ben...I've enjoyed your blog and am curious how you will do your digital transfer to edit your movies...I'm intrigued by the old school film as opposed to the new HD revolution. I'd like to hear more about your new "hobby".

Kenyon, if you Google "super 8mm film transfer services," you'll be right on pace with me =) Seriously, I found a place here in Atlanta that does it. Kodak has an extensive 8mm section on their website with links and resources too.

I've got to admit, I LOVE using my HD camera with my 4 month old!
I know someone that would practically GIVE you a 35mm SLR if you like film photography. :)
