M. Night Shyamalan is the most misunderstood filmmaker on the planet. The critics are merciless, and everything after The Sixth Sense has been rejected almost wholesale by the viewing public. He can barely get a film green-lit by the studios anymore... his latest movie not excluded. But his artistic imprint is so clearly unmistakable and so unique that he will eventually be a legend in film-making. He's innovating something extraordinary, but it's way too early to tell what it is. Those who agree have something to look forward to.

I personally think that he has gotten better as he goes along. Some of those early films- Unbreakable, Lady in the Water, Signs- were just plain awful. Now The Village...that is a movie!

I'm a believer!
My favorite M. Night flicks... Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village... Great Stuff... For a little bit of a different flair by Night see "Stuart Little"... He did the screenplay! It's even good! It's all about the story with Night... you have to set everything you think you know about filmmaking aside and just believe...
Unfortunately we live in a world of critics and not believers!
