You're Either In The Lab or The Factory

I became aware of something at 16 years old that prompted me to start my own lawn mowing company in high school: I wanted to be rainmaker, not hireling.

Part of my love for for church planting has to do with making things happen, not maintaining what already exists. I love that the Apostle Paul refused to build on another man's foundation. Same entrepreneurial spirit.

When I think about my ideal environment... I prefer the lab, not the factory. It doesn't matter how amazing yesterday's ideas were, or how many times they can be successfully reproduced, I want to be in the R&D department.

Purple cows only come along every once in a while. And when they do, you've gotta milk them for all they're worth. But I want to be in the lab working on the next unusually-colored farm animal. =)
