Whiteboard Speakers, pt 3

The third speaker to announce for the Whiteboard Sessions on May 22 is Mark Batterson, lead pastor of National Community Church in Washington, DC.  Batterson_2 I'm probably Mark's biggest fan - he's not only one of the most acclaimed bloggers in ministry, but one of the most promising authors  in the publishing world. If his first runaway success, In a Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day, is any indication of books to come, he'll eventually join the ranks of Christiandom's most influential authors. He is changing the vocabulary and thus the shape of Christian culture. Mark truly has the gifts of creativity, teaching, and communication, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a blog in ministry that doesn't quote him regularly. Finally, his vision for what God can do through faith-filled people is unmatched. The story of NCC -- his unique "theater church" branding -- and Ebeneezer's Coffee House is one for the history books.

Tomorrow's announcement will be another shocker...

Hi Ben...
My husband (Chris Reeder - LetGodBeGod.com) referred me to your blog. We are beginning the process of planting a church in Florence, SC. We are following many blogs as we seek God's plan for this process, and I just wanted you to know that we are really enjoying yours. (I also subscribed to your wife's.)
But you should know, if you wanna be Mark Batterson's #1 fan, you'll have to get in line, dude! ;-)
Have a great day.

Oh yeah, and if you announce "Mr. Chazown" tomorrow...then WE'RE THERE, MAN!! ;-)

Joe Gibbs?

Dang! Mark Batterson's a great get, but my guess of Ed Stezer wasn't right...yet...

I was trying to make the Baptist connection....

Let's play the guessing game each time. Provide some details, give us a real chance to guess.
