- Love the design skin of Mars Hill Church's YouTube user space. Gotta figure out how to do this...
- David, our worship intern at RCC, did a phenomenal job playing two Macs in our worship set this morning like they were dueling hammond organs. Stunning ethereal effects behind our songs.
- Loved seeing Ally, our welcome center leader, hold a team meeting over lunch with her volunteers this afternoon. Ally is phenomenally gifted at creating welcoming environments -- and she was pouring vision into her team on her own initiative.
- We started a contest this morning among our children's team leaders to see which area could consistently provide the most welcoming environment to parents. Our parents left the theater beaming this morning with pride and joy -- from the effects of the contest's first day.
- We had a future church planter in the crowd today, and I took some time to ask for feedback about RCC from his perspective. I don't do this with everyone, but if I can discern some humility, I ask a few hard questions. Why pastors hate knowing the truth about their churches is beyond me...
- We have a church-wide Christmas banquet this Friday night, and I couldn't be more excited. Any chance Matt and I get to lavish our people with great food, gratitude and fun... we relish it. On Sundays, our volunteers work harder than we do and bless us more than we could return.
- This year's Christmas Eve service is going to be the greatest one in our church's 5 year history. The music is shaping up to be killer, and I'm in awe of the spiritual truths God has been showing me for the message. This week, Matt and I go into the theater to test out the special effects that will help turn our worship space into a planetarium.

kudos to you for getting feedback from a 'future' church planter!! great to be always learning...from everyone!!
