Conflict in the church is not unbiblical. It's prescriptive. That's how we grow spiritually. As iron sharpens iron, sparks and all, God shapes the countenance of each one of us. Whenever we feel our blood pressure rising, ourselves becoming defensive, our fight-or-flight instincts emerging... welcome to the church.
What is unbiblical is how many of us handle it. We hold grudges. We avoid each other. We run off to another church. Jesus gave us a formula to follow when we experience conflict:
When somebody offends you
Go to them
If they don't listen
Take someone else with you
If they still don't listen
Tell the leaders of the church
If they still don't listen
Treat them as an unbeliever
