Talk about a spiritually enriching couple of days at Buzz. Wow. Here are some notable quotables from day two...
Craig Groeschel
"Our prayer to God should be: 'Disturb me'"
"I confess I'm a recovering 'practical athiest'"
"A practical athiest is someone who believes God exists but lives as though he does not."
"In college, I felt called to ministry, but no one was calling.""We make the mistake of believing our effort is better than God's power."
"If I blame myself for the loss, I may very well take credit for the victory."
"Samson did not know the Lord had left him." ~ what a dangerous unawareness!"You can't be a people pleaser in ministry because there are some things in the Bible that don't make people smile."
Mark Batterson
"If we ignore the culture, the culture will ignore us."
"At NCC, we are building an airplane in the air."
"1% of the intangibles make 99% of the difference in our church environments."

That quote about 'if I blame myself for the loss, I may take credit for the victory' (paraphrased) really hit home as a mom of a prodigal son. I have grown to know that his actions were not my fault and then had to also conclude that the great things in my son's life are not for me take credit for, either ... it's God who does the work! Note: a prodigal update - my son finished 18 months at Teen Challenge and indeed our God has blessed us abundantly more than we could've ever asked for!
