Ben,
The logo is great. It has a nice "city" feel to it. Very inviting.

thanks. we were going for strong, bold typefaces that would stand off a sign at 45 miles per hour. wanted something that would look more like a sports team logo than a church, in order to reach men.
it does have a comedy central network quality to it, which fits our demographic. the skyline is also specifically reston's skyline, adapted from a photograph.

It looks GREAT! It really fits with your vision. Great job!

I like it a lot. Good call with the appealing to men bit. Red is a great color for a logo.

Looks good and it will be easy to read from a distance.
I was also glad to see you mentioned in the book "The Blogging Church" by Brain Bailey. I shared your name on a post in my blog.
Keep up the good work.

AWESOME! What did your core group think?

There were smiles. There was applause. There were oohs and ahhhs. It was a good moment. And we gave kudos to Josh who used his talents and time for the cause of Christ.

Just curious are you going to use all four versions or is it a sort of conceptual progression to the last one? I'm sure that's a dumb question (since no one else asked it).
We've begun work on our logo and so your posts have been very helpful to me. thanks for that.

hey jason, definitely a progression. it's just one logo, the final one. it was a bit of scrolling suspense for you. =)
Posted by: Ben | February 05, 2007 at 02:48 PM
booyah. nice work.
...and the scrolling was quite suspenseful.
