Ainsley just shouted to me, "Watch the boys; I've gotta go save two little girls' lives!" and ran out the door... Naturally, I unseated myself to see what was going on. Apparently, a daycare in someone's home across the street was overcrowded, and two little 2-year old girls walked unnoticed across a major road over to our house. Ainsley noticed several cars just barely missing them... and no one even stopped. A police car just happened to pass by as Ains was leading them back across the street [one of them knew the way], and she flagged him down. Unbelievable...

a) that is scary that the kids somehow got free from their daycare
b) it is horrifying that they crossed that street, since people have a tendency to drive far too fast on that road
c) it is pathetic and sad that no one stopped for the kids and only drove on by
