Winston Churchill said, "However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results." This is at the heart of my quest to make the church more effective at reaching people far from God. A church ought to be so missional that its evangelism strategy will determine what the church looks like. eg: Bill Hybels had a passion to reach lost people, and his approach ended up looking like Willow Creek. Great passage in Genesis 41:41-45, where Joseph takes on a new Egyptian name, new Egyptian clothes, and even takes up chariot riding in order to fit in his context. Nothing sinful about any of these things. They're abiblical. Purely cultural. Joseph advocated the one true God, but he looked like an Egyptian doing it.

Great insight!
