PC vs Mac Churches

Macad Macad2 Macad3 One of the guys who spoke after me in Greensboro this week was a pastor named Jim Palmer. He described how our churches reflect the popular Mac vs PC commercials. PC churches approach ministry with rules, inflexible systems, illogical methods, death by meetings, etc. Mac churches share life together, have simple structures, and emphasize relationships. I'd love to see a spoof of these ads for churches... something for, say, Granger's Innovative Church conference.

So I wasn't the only one thinking that when I saw that commercial. Let me know if someone does a spoof.

Good idea, Ben!

Is it possible for a church (or person) to be a little of both?

At first when you said PC Church or MacChurch I was thinking that some churches use only PC's or only Macs...then I saw where you were going w/ your post. But wondered if a church/person can be a little of both, just like different offices in a church can have the different kinds of comptuers.

I think lots of churchs have "PC Personality" ministers/staff alongside "Mac Personality" ministers/staff. Those make for some intersting mixes.
