What kind of car would your church be?
A great advertising guy once asked me, "If your church were a car, what kind of car would it be?" He was getting at the fact that cars are marketed demographically and sociographically. So if we could figure out a good automobile equivalent for our church, we could look at how they advertise and what they advertise for clues on what we should be doing.
Jen and Matt both agreed that History Church is a Honda Element. Wide open doors, welcoming, active, portable, youthful, not a minivan, community-friendly, relevant, rugged, small groups fit inside. Element ads show friends having fun in community.
Hmmm. What is your church?
so does this mean we get staff elements...like t-shirts..but better!

But to be a true Element it had to be marketed to male GenXers yet sold mostly to female Boomers...
