I had the privilege of writing a blurb for the last chapter of Brian Bailey & Terry Storch's forthcoming book The Blogging Church. Brian asked for one piece of advice I'd give other bloggers. I tried to write a Braveheart-esque rally to motivate blogging pastors to share their best ideas. The rewards of sharing our secrets to success are far greater than the credit we'll receive for being stingy with them.
Our designer Jen is putting finishing touches on a brochure that explains our "next steps" at History Church. It'll really help our assimilation process. Once the brochure is printed, we'll create new indoor signage to match the motiffe.
Yesterday, Jen showed us conceptual drawings of our new portable preschool environment, and it blew our socks off. By mid-summer, we'll have a compelling children's space on Sunday mornings that can be set-up and packed away every week. Jen's having e-mail troubles, or I'd post the digital drawings here... Soon maybe.
I'm off to Richmond for two days to help assess church planters...

I am the children's pastor at my church in Fairfax, VA and would love to really see those drawings or have them explained to me. Please post them when you can.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ben! Found your blog from the "Blogging Church" blog. It's been more of a book promo than anything, but I've followed it anyway.
Been blogging since September 05 myself, and was intrigued by History Church, since I'm a pastor/planter as well.
Love to hear more about how History Church started...
